The UID Controlled Substance Inventory Cabinet combines RFID inventory technology with the ability to track and record entry into the cabinet using two-part authentication. For assets such as controlled drugs, the process of logging in or out a drug is controlled by RFID labels and by either weighing the vial or manually typing in the amount used. All records are captured electronically to ensure 100% accurate drug inventory and use documentation. The cabinet can also be used to track other high valued items such as surgical implants. Each drug vial or item is affixed with an RFID label that the user scans in order to record detailed information for each item used. Reports on cabinet inventory, drug names, volumes, user, or entry into the cabinet are available.
Cabinet models are offered depending on the location of the cabinet: Single door, dual door, or safe which brings added security. These are offered as either a standalone cabinet, or as a networked computer system for multiple cabinets per site.
High security is provided with a combination lock or key, RFID badges, pictures, and pin codes for 100% accurate entry logging recording.
